Excursion or tour involving students to remain postponed in Assam amidst corona threat

March 14: The Assam Health Department has issued an advisory to postpone excursion or tour involving students until the novel coronavirus threat is completely contained in the country. Assam Health Commissioner Anurag Goel, who is also the nodal officer for coronavirus-outbreak control informed the Directorate of Education on Thursday to avoid excursions by students within and outside Assam until the threat from coronavirus is completely eliminated. As per sources, the state Health Department will also request the private schools to follow the same.
