Samujjwal Bhattacharjee from Silchar got 9th Rank in MBBS

February 12: Samujjwal Bhattacharjee from Silchar earned laurels for himself and for the valley by securing the 9th position in MBBS in Assam. Dr. Samujjwal qualified MBBS from Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). Samujjwal is the son of Dr. Siddhartha Bhattacharjee and Sutapa Bhattacharjee.

Expressing her joy, Sutapa Bhattacharjee, the mother of Samujjal said, “It’s a great feeling for me to have a doctor husband in my life but it’s really really wonderful feeling to become the mother of a doctor..a great moment of happiness and pride to share with you all the overwhelming achievement of Our beloved son ‘Babai’ (Samujjwal).”

His father, renowned surgeon, Dr. Siddhartha Bhattacharjee too expressed his feelings when he said, “I am pleased to share that my son has cleared his MBBS final examination and will shortly start his journey as an internee. Keep your blessings on him so that he can serve the society in the right perspective.”

An alumni of Holy Cross School, Dr. Samujjwal Bhattacharjee passed Higher Secondary from Ramanuj Gupta Junior College before taking admission in SMCH. Taking to social media with intense humility, Dr. Samujjwal Bhattacharjee wrote, ”

“But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.”

“Today I’m halfway through my childhood dreams. The years have been tough and I’m really thankful to everyone who have contributed to my journey,” wrote the new physician.
