Earthquake measuring 5.3 rocks Assam & other North East states on Saturday night

Oct. 10: An earthquake measuring 5.3 in the Richter scale jolted Assam & other North Eastern states at 11.08 PM on Saturday. The earthquake had its epicentre at 30 kilometres WNW of Bishnupur in Manipur. The quake lasted for around around a minute. The quake was also felt in all the three districts of Barak Valley.

The quake occurred at a depth of 28 kilometres and the National Centre for Seismology (NCS) has marked this earthquake as ‘reviewed’ while confirming the coordinates 24.69 (latitude) and 93.47 (longitude). Till the filing of this news, there was no report of any damage.
