Earthquake measuring 4.9 rocks Manipur, tremour felt in other Northeast states

October 3: An earthquake of magnitude of 4.9 on the richter scale rocked Northeastern states, especially Imphal in Manipur at at 11:54 AM on Thursday. The earthquake strike 8 km east of Imphal district in Manipur. However, still now (2 PM), there was no news of any casualty. The epicentre of the quake was located at a depth of 66 km from the Imphal city and 357 km Northeast of Chittagong, Bangladesh.
