District Congress offers rich tribute to Santosh Mohan Dev on his 2nd death anniversary

August 2: Cachar District Congress Committee (DCC) offered rich tribute to veteran Congress leader and former Union Minister Santosh Mohan Dev on his 2nd death anniversary. On Tuesday, the Congress party members offered floral tribute to their departed leader at Indira Bhavan.

In the morning, the party flag was first unfurled by the District Congress President Pradip Kumar Dey in front of the other party members. Thereafter floral tributes were paid on the portrait of Santosh Mohan Dev.

It was followed by a seminar on the various aspects of the departed leader where speakers like Sanjeev Roy, Simanto Bhattacharjee, Sariffujaman Laskar, Monikanta Sinha, Sujan Dutta, Reba Nath, Sanchita Acharjee, Babul Ahmed, F R Laskar and President of the seminar Sri Pradip Kr Dey highlighted the deeds and achievements of  Santosh Mohan Dev and termed him as the ‘Leader of the Masses’.

A team of Silchar DCC, led by its General Secretary Rajesh Deb, in presence of K Atong Singh, Debodip Dutta, Mohanlal Das, Nilotpol Sen, Rahul Alam Laskar, Ranjit Choudhury, Rajdip Debroy, Ranbir Singh, Sajal Deb, Javed Ahmed, Akhtar Hussain, Dilwar Ahmed ,Anjana Dev, Arindam Hore, Sumon Deb, Kaushol Dutta, Abdul Rajjak, Anupam Paul ,Purobi Roy, Bina Rana, Purobi Das, Raj Das and others distributed fruits among the patients of Silchar Red Cross Hospital and Mother Teresa Home at Silchar.
