Devotees of Silchar Kathiya Baba Ashram gives relief to the distressed
April 20: The outbreak of coronavirus has led to a global crisis. In order to contain the further spread of the deadly coronavirus, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared 21-day lockdown which was then enhanced by another 19 days, till 3 May. Meanwhile, those whose livelihood depends on daily wage are finding it tough to make their both ends meet. To help such poor and needy persons, the devotees of Kathiya Baba Ashram, Silchar came forward to help people in crisis.
On Sunday, the devotess of Silchar Kathiya Baba Ashram gave essential grocery items to the poor and needy people who stays in the vicinity of the Ashram at Public School Road, Silchar. Grocery items including rice, dal, oil, soyabean, potato etc. were disbursed maintaining the norms of social disbursing. The devotees of the Kathiya Baba Ashram expressed satisfaction for being able to help those in distress. It needs mention here that the Ashram also contributed a handsome amount to the PM CARES Fund a few days ago through Silchar MP Dr. Rajdeep Roy.
