DC Hailakandi expresses disappointment over Water Resource Department

July 23: Along with the rest of the state, flood situation at various parts of Hailakandi district also became grim a few days ago. It is in this context that Keerthi Jalli, Deputy Commissioner of Hailakandi held a review meeting over flood preparedness for a second wave.

In the said meeting, the Deputy  Commissioner expressed her disappointment with the performance of the district  Water Resources Department in their readiness to counter flood this time.  She had explicitly instructed Roads, Water Resources and Irrigation Department to be ready and vigilant over their assets of sluice gates monitoring. A compilation of damage report was sent to Government for sanction of funds.
