DC Cachar transferred, Barnali Sarma to replace Laya Madduri

January 01: In a notification issued by the Department of Personnel, Government of Assam on 1 January, 2020, Deputy Commissioner of Cachar Laya Madduri was transferred. She is now posted as State Project Director of Assam Rural Infrastructure & Agricultural Services Society (ARIAS) Society. She will be replacing M.N. Manivannan.

Laya Madduri has been replaced as the Deputy Commissioner of Cachar by Barnali Sarma, IAS. Smt. Sarma was the Inspector General of Prisons.
