DC Cachar debars Medical Representatives to meet doctors & canvas about their products during office hours in govt hospitals

১৭ মে : এখন থেকে মেডিক্যাল রিপ্রেজেনটেটিভরা সরকারি হাসপাতালে গিয়ে চিকিৎসকের কাছে নিজের কোম্পানির কোনও সামগ্রীর প্রচার চালাতে পারবেন না। কাছাড়ের জেলাশাসক লয়া মাদ্দুরী শুক্রবার মেডিক্যাল সেলস রিপ্রেজেন্টেটিভদের হাসপাতালে কাজকর্ম চলাকালীন প্রচার চালাতে বারণ করার জন্য হাসপাতাল কর্তৃপক্ষকে নির্দেশ দেন।

মেডিকেল রিপ্রেজেন্টেটিভদের দ্বারা সরকারি হাসপাতালগুলির ওপিডি অর্থাৎ আউট পেশেন্ট বিভাগে অথবা হাসপাতাল চত্বরে কোনও প্রাইভেট কোম্পানির প্রচার বা প্রদর্শন ইত্যাদি করা নিয়ম বহির্ভূত কাজ বলে উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে। এর পরিপ্রেক্ষিতে সকল সরকারি হাসপাতালগুলোতে কর্তৃপক্ষকে এ বিষয়ে নোটিশ টাঙ্গিয়ে রাখতেও কাছাড়ের জেলাশাসক নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন।

May 17: From now onward, Medical Representatives won’t be able to visit government hospitals and canvass in favour of their respective companies. In an order issued to the hospital authorities, Laya Madduri, Deputy Commissioner, Cachar has issued a strict instruction wherein she has stated that the Medical Sales Representatives should not be allowed to visit doctors during working hours inside the hospital premises.

In the said order, it was mentioned by the Deputy Commissioner that it is an illegal act on the part of the Medical Representatives working in private companies to advertise their products in the Out Patient Department (OPD) or within the government hospital premises. DC Laya Madduri has further instructed the government hospital authorities of Cachar district to put up a notice in this connection in a visible place inside the hospital premises.
