Dance artist Raktim Das passes away

October 12: Dance artist Raktim Das is no more. He was a high diabetic patient. Raktim died at the age of 40 due to cardiac arrest at around 6.30 AM on Sunday in his home at Silchar Link Road. Raktim was the head of ‘Srishti Param.’ He was also a good music composer. Raktim used to read news in Amar Bangla channel. His death has brought in an atmosphere of sorrow in the valley.

A condolence meeting has been conveyed in his memory at Silchar Sangeet Vidyalay at 3.30 PM today, wherein his body will be kept for paying last homage. After that he will be taken to the crematorium for performing the last rites.
