Daffodils celebrate ‘School Day Out’ programme at Children Parkশিশু উদ্যানে ডেফোডিলস-এর স্কুল ডে আউট প্রোগ্রাম
November 12: Modern schools are now bringing in various types of innovation to make teaching learning more interesting and fruitful. Child psychologists too opine that staying within the confines of the four walls of a classroom, makes students lose interest as things become monotonous for them.
It is in this backdrop that schools now-a-days makes arrangement to spend atleast a day out of the confines of its campus. Such a unique endeavour was attempted by Daffodils School, Silchar.
Daffodils School is in its silver jubilee year. In this long span of 25 years, the school has achieved many laurels. ‘School Day Out’ is a new feather added to the cap of Daffodils. On Tuesday, the teachers along with the students from Nursery to Class X went out and passed the day beneath the blue sky at Silchar Children Park.
“The smiles on the faces of the students was something worthy to take note of. They were laughing to their hearts content, running after butterflies, lying down in the green grass, spending time in the swings, running in the open and what not,” Sandipan Dutta Purkayasthya, a dedicated teacher of Daffodils said to our correspondent. Even the teachers along with students sang songs and danced merrily.
The other teachers also said that the ‘School Day Out’ was organised to curtail the monotony of the students by indulge them in fun-making in an open environment. This would make their minds fresh and thereby would enable them to concentrate more on studies the next day when they would go to the school. This also cement the tie between the students and the teachers and bring them close to each other. The Principal of the school said that from now onwards, ‘School Day Out’ will be a regular feature.
