১৬ সেপ্টেম্বরঃ ১৯ সেপ্টেম্বরের রায় দেখেই আন্দোলন সূচি চূড়ান্ত করবে নাগরিক অধিকার রক্ষা সমন্বয় কমিটি (সিআরপিসিসি)। এখন আপাতত জেলাশাসকদের মাধ্যমে আরজিআই-কে স্মারকপত্র পাঠানো হবে। তিন জেলাতেই দল বেঁধে গিয়ে স্মারকপত্র প্রদান করা হবে। শনিবার নাগরিক সভা ডেকে সিআরপিসিসি বর্তমান অবস্থা পর্যালোচনা করে। সংগঠনের সভাপতি তপোধীর ভট্টাচার্য তাতে পৌরোহিত্য করেন।

বরাক উপত্যকা বঙ্গ সাহিত্য ও সংস্কৃতি সম্মেলন, সম্মিলিত সাংস্কৃতিক মঞ্চ, উত্তর-পূর্ব ভারত এমারতে শররীয়াহ ও নদওয়াতুত তামির, অল কাছাড়করিমগঞ্জ-হাইলাকান্দি স্টুডেন্টস অ্যাসোসিয়েশন (আকসা), বরাক উপত্যকা চা শ্রমিক ইউনিয়ন, কাছাড় হিন্দিভাষী ছাত্র পরিষদ, অটো মালিক সংস্থা, কৈবর্ত উন্নয়ন পরিষদ, বরাক হিউম্যান রাইটস কমিটি সহ প্রচুর সংস্থা-সংগঠন আজ সভায় প্রতিনিধিত্ব করে। সবাই বর্তমান পরিস্থিতিতে উদ্বেগ প্রকাশ করেন। বিশেষ করে, ১৯৫১-র এনআরসি, ভোটার তালিকা, সিটিজেনশিপ সার্টিফিকেট, রেশন কার্ড ও রিফিউজি কার্ডের মান্যতা না দিতে প্রতীক হাজেলার প্রস্তাবের সমালোচনায় মুখর হন সব বক্তাই। পাশাপাশি প্রদীপ দত্তরায়ের সাম্প্রতিক মন্তব্যেরও নিন্দা করেন সকলে।

এ দিন অন্যান্যদের মধ্যে বক্তব্য রাখেন উত্তর করিমগঞ্জের বিধায়ক কমলাক্ষ দে পুরকায়স্থ, প্রাক্তন বিধায়ক আতাউর রহমান মাঝারভুইয়া,  বঙ্গ সাহিত্যের কেন্দ্রীয় সভাপতি সৌরীন্দ্রকুমার ভট্টাচার্য, সারিমুল হক প্রমুখ। তাঁরা একই সুরে বলেন, চূড়ান্ত খসড়ায় যাঁদের নাম অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়েছে, তাঁরা যে সব নথি জমা দিয়েছিলেন, সেই একই নথি খসড়া-ছুটদের ক্ষেত্রে প্রযোজ্য হবে না, এ কী রকম কথা ? একই প্রক্রিয়ায় দুই রকমের ব্যবস্থা হয় কীভাবে? তাঁদের আক্ষেপ, ভাষিক ও ধর্মীয় সংখ্যালঘু সংগঠনের দাবির সপক্ষে কোনও কথাই সুপ্রিম কোর্টের রায়ে প্রতিফলিত হল না। তার উপর, খসড়ার ১০ শতাংশের নথি এখন পুনঃপরীক্ষা হলে কার নাম এনআরসি-তে থাকবে, আর কার থাকবে না, এ নিয়েও দুশ্চিন্তায় সবাই।এই প্রেক্ষিতে সিআরপিসিসি-র দাবি, ভাষা-ধর্ম নির্বিশেষে প্রকৃত ভারতীয়দের নাম এনআরসিতে অন্তর্ভুক্ত করতে হবে। ১০ শতাংশের নথি পুনঃপরীক্ষার প্রস্তাবও বাতিল করার দাবি জানান তাঁরা।

September 15: It is only after observing the verdict of Supreme Court on September 19, the Civil Rights Protection Coordination Committee (CRPC) will finalise their programme of agitation. However, as of now, they will only send a memorandum to the Registrar General of India (RGI) through the Deputy Commissioner. They will go together in all the three districts of the valley and submit the memorandum. In the citizen’s meeting convened by CRPC on Saturday, they took stock of the present scenario. The meeting was presided over by Prof. Tapodhir Bhattacharjee.

Representatives from various organizations of the valley, such as, Barak Upottoka Banga Sahitto O Sanskriti Sammelan, Sammilito Sanskritik Mancha, North East India Emarte Sarariyah O nadwatuth Tamir, ACKHSA, Auto Owners Association, Kaibarta Unnayan Parishad, Barak Valley tea Labourers Association, Cachar Hindi Bhashi Chhatra Parishad, Barak Human Rights Committee and many others attended the citizen’s meet. All speakers expressed concern regarding the prevailing situation. The demand of giving weightage to all the 15 documents mentioned earlier as proof of citizenship. The speaker’s crticised Hajela for deleting 5 documents from the affidavit which he submitted to the Supreme Court. At the same time, they also criticised the recent statement made by Pradip Dutta Roy.

Many spoke during the citizen’s meet on the issue of NRC, which included Kamalakkha Dey Purkayastha, MLA of North Karimganj, former MLA Ataur Rahman Majharbhuiya, Saurindra Kumar Bhjattacharjee, Sarimul Haque and others. All of them demanded that those documents on the basis of which names were enlisted in the final draft should be kept valid even in case of those whose names were not included in it. Questions were raised as to why those documents regarded valid earlier were now planned to be deleted. They even expressed concern regarding the recent decision of Supreme Court as regards re-verification of 10 percent names which were already included in the final list. CRPC demanded that genuine Indians irrespective of their religion and language should be included in the NRC. They also demanded that the proposal to reverify 10 percent names from the final draft be dropped.
