Cross Country Road Safari to celebrate 144th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Patel

October 30: A grand celebration of the Unity Day is on the cards. To commemorate the 144th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel as Unity Day, a Cross Country Road Safari was flagged off by L. Samual Jamir, Deputy Commandant, CRPF Dibrugarh Unit.

From Dibrugarh, the Cross Country Road Safari organised by the Regional Outreach Bureau, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, will touch Tezpur and Dhuburi before arriving at Silchar covering a stretch of 1300 kms and four corners of Assam where four regional ‘Three day Special Exhibition and Programme’ are being organised.

On Tuesday, Deputy Speaker of Assam Aminul Haque Laskar inaugurated the Silchar celebration at Sivalik Park, Ayushman Bhavan along with Pallab Chakraborty, IIS, Deputy Director, ROB, Guwahati and Saswati Bhattacharjee, Assistant Director, FOB, Silchar. The closing ceremony will be held on Thursday, 31 October in all four venues.
