COVID-19: Extensive daily training sessions on for the health staff of Hailakandi
April 12: The battle against coronavirus is going on in full swing throughout the length and breadth of India. Assam too under the able leadership of its Heath Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma is fully prepared in this fight against this deadly virus. Such an instance of preparedness was discerned in Hailakandi district of Assam.
Extensive daily training sessions are being taken up in Hailakandi for the health staff for being prepared to fight against the spread of Corona. They are working under extreme challenges, overcoming their own fears of the virus, their exhaustion, going beyond call of duty, against their families wishes who request them to stay at home and be safe, risking their own safety night and day.
Commenting on her Facebook wall, Keerthi Jalli, Deputy Commissioner of Hailakandi wrote, “These protective suits are few in number available in market hence once worn once have to be used minimum for 8 hours that includes not stepping out for using the washroom even. They are very hot sweaty and uncomfortable and yet the medical team keep fighting forward. Please help them help you by staying indoors and fighting against the virus.”
