Congress Candidate Keshav Prasad & BJP’s Bijoy Malakar submits nomination for by-poll at Ratabari

September 30: Congress candidate Keshav Prasad Rajak and BJP’s Bijoy Malakar submitted their nomination to the Returning Officer on Monday for by-poll to the Ratabari Assembly constituency. The by-polls to the four Assembly seats including Ratabari constituency in Assam will be held on 21 October, 2019.

Earlier during the day, Bijoy Malakar in presence of BJP’s state President Ranjeet Dass. Karimganj MP Kripanath Mallah, Forest Minister Parimal Suklabaidya, Sichar MLA Dilip Kumar Paul along with a host of supporters went to the office of the Deputy Commissioner and submitted his nomination.

Speaking to journalists, Ranjit Dass said, “We are confident that the people of Ratabari will definitely vote for Bijoy Malakar because they have seen how the BJP government is striving hard for a corruption free society.”

Keshav Prasad Rajak, the Congress candidate also came out for filing nomination with a huge contingent comprising of MLA Kamalakkhya Dey Purukayastha, Karimganj DCC President Satu Roy, APCC General Secretary Pradyut Bhuiya, APCC Secretary Ramannya Barua, APCC Secretary & Convenor of Campaigning Committee Sanjeev Roy, Subrata Deb among others.

Addressing newsmen, Sanjeev Roy expressed confidence of grabbing a huge victory in Ratabari. He further added that people have understood the anti-public policies adopted by the BJP and so they will definitely vote for Congress.
