CM to be at Silchar, Foundation stone laying & inauguration on Saturday

১ মার্চঃ লোকসভা ভোটের আগে গুচ্ছ শিলান্যাস ও বরাক সেতুর উদ্বোধনের কর্মসূচি নিয়ে বরাক উপত্যকা সফরে আসছেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী সর্বানন্দ সোনোয়াল। বলা চলে, একদিনের ঝটিকা সফর। বিমানবন্দর থেকে সোজা সকাল ১১টায় সদরঘাটে বরাক নদীর ওপর নির্মিত সেতুর উদ্বোধন করবেন। রংপুর প্রান্তে এ উপলক্ষে আয়োজিত সভায় বক্তৃতা করবেন তিনি।

সেখান থেকে চলে আসবেন পুলিশ প্যারেড গ্রাউন্ডে। সাড়ে ১১টায় সেখানে বেশকিছু প্রকল্পের শিলান্যাস করা হবে। এর মধ্যে রয়েছে, ইটখলা ঘাট সংলগ্ন এলাকায় বরাক নদীর ওপর আরেক সেতু,  মিনি সচিবালয়, পুলিশ প্যারেড গ্রাউন্ডে স্টেডিয়াম, জেলা গ্রন্থাগার প্রেক্ষাগৃহ, বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের বিবেকানন্দ কালচারাল রিসার্চ সেন্টারের শিলান্যাস।

দলীয় সূত্রে খবর, মুখ্যমন্ত্রী ছাড়াও উপস্থিত থাকবেন রাজ্যের  পূর্ত মন্ত্রী হিমন্ত বিশ্ব শর্মা, বন ও আবগারি পরিমল শুক্সবৈদ্য, সংস্কৃতি মন্ত্রী নবকুমার দোলে ও উপাধ্যক্ষ কৃপানাথ মালা প্রমুখ। স্থানীয় সকল সাংসদ-বিধায়ককে আমন্ত্রণ জানিয়েছেন জেলাশাসক লয়া মাদ্দুরি।

March 1: On the eve of the Lok Sabha polls, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will be visiting Silchar to inaugurate the Barak Bridge and lay the foundation stones of a host of projects. His whirlwind visit will include the inauguration of the new Sadarghat bridge over river Barak at 11.30 AM. He is supposed to address a gathering over there at Rangpur. From there, he will go straight away to the Circuit House where he will have his lunch.

His next programme is at Silchar Police Parade Ground. He will be laying the foundation stones of a sports stadium at the ground under Uttoron Scheme, new auditorium cum district Library, Mini Secretariat, a bridge which will connect Itkhola with Borkhola and a Cultural Research Centre in the name of Swami Vivekananda at Assam university, Silchar. The CM will return back on the same day afternoon.

Sonowal will be accompanied by PWD Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Excise Minister Parimal Suklabaidya, Minister of Cultural Affairs Naba Kumar Dole and Deputy Speaker Kripanath Mallah. District Commissioner Laya Madduri has also invited the local MPs and MLAs.
