CM arrived at evening, inspected the meeting venue at night

৩ জানুয়ারি : প্রধানমন্ত্রীর বরাক সফরের একদিন আগেই বৃহস্পতিবার সন্ধ্যায় শিলচর এসে পৌছলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী সর্বানন্দ সনোয়াল। এ দিন তাঁর বিকেলে এসে পৌছার কথা থাকলেও সাড়ে ৬টা নাগাদ মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর বিশেষ বিমান কুম্ভীরগ্রামে অবতরণ করে। সেখান থেকে তিনি সড়কপথে আসেন উধারবন্দে। এখানে তিনি নবনির্মিত সার্কল অফিসের নতুন ভবন উদ্বোধন করেন। ফিতে কেটে ভবনটি উদ্বোধনের পর মুখ্যমন্ত্রী উধারবন্দের জয়ী কয়েকজন পঞ্চায়েত প্রতিনিধিদের সঙ্গে পরিচিত হন।

সংক্ষিপ্ত বক্তব্যে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী সনোয়াল বর্তমান বিজেপি সরকারের আমলে বিভিন্ন উন্নয়ন্মূলক কাজকর্ম হচ্ছে বলে উল্লেখ করেন। তিনি আরও বলেন, এখানকার মানুষ প্রধানমন্ত্রীর বক্তব্য শোনার জন্য গভীর আগ্রহ নিয়ে অপেক্ষা করছেন। এই অনুষ্ঠানে মন্ত্রী পরিমল শুক্লবৈদ্য, বিধায়ক মিহির কান্তি সোম, সার্কল অফিসার কুলদীপ হাজরিকা প্রমুখ উপস্থিত ছিলেন।

এরপর মন্ত্রী রামনগরে গিয়ে প্রধানমন্ত্রীর সভার প্রস্তুতি খতিয়ে দেখেন। তিনি সভার দায়িত্বে থাকা আধিকারিকদের সঙ্গেও কথা বলেন। রাজ্যের অর্থ ও স্বাস্থ্যমন্ত্রী হিমন্ত বিশ্ব শর্মাও বৃহস্পতিবার শিলচর এসে পৌছেছেন। জানা গেছে, তিনি প্রধানমন্ত্রীর সভায় অংশ নিয়ে বিকেলে বিশেষ বিমানে আগরতলায় চলে যাবেন।

January 3: A day before the meeting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, state Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal arrived at Silchar on Thursday evening. Though he was supposed to come to Silchar much early, but he finally reached Kumbhirgram airport in a special flight at 6.30 in the evening. From the airport, the Chief Minister went by road to Udharbond. There at Udharbond, Sonowal inaugurated the newly constructed Circle Office. He inaugurated the Circle Office by cutting the ribbon. He also got introduced to some of the newly elected Panchayat representatives.

In his brief speech, CM Sonowal highlighted about the various developmental works undertaken by the BJP government. He further said that the people of Barak Valley are eagerly awaiting to listen to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday. The programme was also attended by Minister Parimal Suklabaidya, MLA Mihir Kanti Shome, Circle Officer Kuldeep Hazarika among others.

From Udharbond, the Chief Minister went to the Prime Minister’s meeting venue at Ramnagar. Over there, Mr. Sonowal took stock of the preparations made over there. He also had a discussion with the officers responsible for various aspects of Friday’s meeting, which will be addressed by PM Modi.

Meanwhile state Finance Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma also arrived at Silchar on Thursday. Sources revealed that after attending the Prime Minister’s meeting on Friday, he will go to Agartala in a special flight.
