Cachar Police conducts raid at Kanakpur, seizes heroine worth ₹ 15 lakh & nabbed 2

November 21: Cachar Police seems to be on action mode. In a Facebook post, Cachar Police wrote “Cachar Police is on mission mode! So if you are stoned, inform us, we will take good care of you.” In the last few months, multiple raids have been conducted and drugs were seized from various part of Cachar.

On the basis of secret information, raid was conducted by a team of Cachar Police led by Aoicharya Jibon Baruah, Deputy Superintendent of Police (HQ) along with I/C Rangirkhari , SI (P) Medhi, SI (P) Barsha Buragohain and staff of Silchar PS approximately 180 gms of suspected heroine powder worth Rs.15 lakh, 4 mobiles, Rs 8,200 and one Pulsar 220 CC bearing registration no AS11 6208 were seized. The raid was conducted at Kanakpur part II area of Silchar.

During the raid two persons namely Bappan Uddin Mazumdar and Sajna Begum Laskar were apprehended. The two apprehended persons are being interrogated by the police to unearth more details about others involved in this nefarious activity.
