প্রণব-ভূপেনকে ভারতরত্নBharat Ratna awarded to Pranab Mukherjee, Bhupen Hazarika
January 25: The President of India Ramnath Kobind has conferred Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian award to former President Pranab Mukherjee, veteran music composer, lyricist and singer from Assam Dr Bhupen Hazarika (posthumously) and social activist & RSS ideologue Nanaji Deshmukh (posthumously).
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also tweeted about the awardees and highlighted their contribution in their respective fields to the society.
Pranab Da is an outstanding statesman of our times.
He has served the nation selflessly and tirelessly for decades, leaving a strong imprint on the nation's growth trajectory.
His wisdom and intellect have few parallels. Delighted that he has been conferred the Bharat Ratna.
