Awareness drive on children’s safety during emergency held in Hailakandi

November 17: Art Competition based on the theme on children’s role in disaster management & Extempore Speech competition on the topic how to avoid disasters was held on the occasion of Awareness Drive on Children’s Safety during emergency at Govt. VMHS School Hailakandi.

This unique programme was organised as a part of Children’s Day as it is a day to celebrate rights of the child which includes to protect oneself against all disasters. SDRF team participated to demonstrate skills on self-safety and rescue. Aapda Mitra team in collaboration with DPO Sri Rupjoy Maibangsha spoke on first aid and quick thinking.

The prizes were handed over to the winners of the art and extermore speech competition was Keerthi Jalli,  Deputy Commissioner, Hailakandi. She congratulated all the school children who participated in these competitions.
