Assam University to Hold 23rd Convocation from January 19
আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ২৩তম সমাবর্তন ১৯ জানুয়ারি থেকে

ওয়ে টু বরাক, ১৭ জানুয়ারি : আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ২৩তম সমাবর্তন আগামী ১৯ থেকে ২১ জানুয়ারি আয়োজিত হচ্ছে। নেতাজি সুভাষ মঞ্চে আয়োজিত এবারের এই সমাবর্তনে ১৩৬৬৬ জন শিক্ষার্থীকে আনুষ্ঠানিক ডিগ্রি প্রদান করা হবে। এবার ডিগ্রি প্রদান করা হবে ২০২৫ সালের ডিলিট, পিএইচডি, এমফিল, স্নাতকোত্তর ও সুসংহত পাঠ্যক্রম ও ২০২৪ সালের স্নাতক উত্তীর্ণদের। এছাড়াও দু’জন কৃতী ব্যক্তিকে নিজ নিজ ক্ষেত্রে উল্লেখযোগ্য অবদানের জন্য সাম্মানিক ডিলিট প্রদান করা হবে। এরা হলেন মহীন্দ্র গ্রুপের চেয়ারম্যান আনন্দ গোপাল মহীন্দ্র ও আইপিএস পার্থসারথি মহন্ত।

প্রথম দিন অর্থাৎ ১৯ জানুয়ারি বেলা সাড়ে এগারোটায় এই বিশাল কর্মযজ্ঞের সূচনা হবে। ওই দিন প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত থাকবেন বেলুড় মঠের রামকৃষ্ণ মিশন বিবেকানন্দ এডুকেশনাল অ্যান্ড রিসার্চ ইনস্টিটিউটের প্রো-চ্যান্সেলর স্বামী আত্মপ্রিয়ানন্দজি। আচার্য অবসরপ্রাপ্ত চিফ এয়ার মার্শাল অরূপ রাহা ও উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক রাজীব মোহন পন্থের উপস্থিতিতে এদিন দীক্ষান্ত ভাষণ দেবেন স্বামীজি।

২০ জানুয়ারি বেলা সাড়ে বারোটায় শুরু হবে দ্বিতীয় দিনের কার্যক্রম। এদিন প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে দীক্ষান্ত ভাষণ দেবেন অশোক লিল্যান্ডের সিনিয়র ভাইস প্রেসিডেন্ট কৃষ্ণন সদাগোপন। তৃতীয় দিন অর্থাৎ ২১ জানুয়ারি বেলা সাড়ে বারোটায় শুরু হবে সমাবর্তনের শেষ কার্যক্রম। এতে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত থাকবেন প্রাক্তন সেনাপ্রধান মনোজ মুকুন্দ নারাভানে। তিনিই এদিন দীক্ষান্ত ভাষণ দেবেন। তিন দিনই অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত থাকবেন নিবন্ধক ড. প্রদোষ কিরণ নাথ, পরীক্ষা নিয়ন্ত্রক সুপ্রবীর দত্তরায় সহ বিভিন্ন স্কুলের ডিনরা।

Way2barak, January 17 : Assam University will hold its 23rd convocation from January 19 to 21. The three-day event will take place at the Netaji Subhas Stage, where formal degrees will be conferred on 13,666 students. Degrees will be awarded to candidates who completed D.Litt., PhD, MPhil, postgraduate and integrated programmes in 2025, as well as undergraduate graduates of 2024. In addition, two eminent personalities will be honoured with honorary D.Litt. degrees in recognition of their significant contributions in their respective fields—Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Gopal Mahindra and IPS officer Parthasarathi Mahanta.

The convocation will commence on January 19 at 11:30 am. The chief guest on the opening day will be Swami Atmapriyanandaji, Pro-Chancellor of the Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute, Belur Math, who will deliver the convocation address in the presence of Chancellor (Retd.) Chief Air Marshal Arup Raha and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rajive Mohan Pant.

The second day’s programme will begin on January 20 at 12:30 pm, with Ashok Leyland Senior Vice President Krishnan Sadagopan delivering the convocation address as chief guest. The concluding session on January 21 will also start at 12:30 pm, with former Chief of Army Staff Manoj Mukund Naravane attending as chief guest and delivering the address.
Registrar Dr. Pradosh Kiran Nath, Controller of Examinations Suprabir Duttaray, and deans of various schools will be present throughout the three-day convocation.
