Assam TET 2019: 33 districts of the state ready for the test on 10 November

November 8: Assam Teacher’s Eligibility Test (TET) 2019 will be held on 10 November, 2019 in the 33 districts of the state. All the centre’s are well prepared to conduct the examination. In Cachar alone, TET will held in 22 centres. TET exam will be held in 2 shifts in a day. That means the examination for the Lower Primary (LP) will start at 8:30 AM, while the Upper Primary (UP)  TET examination will begin at 12:30 PM on the same day.

Every centre will be monitored by two Supervising Officers. One of the Supervising Officers will be working on behalf of the Inspector of School of the district, whereas the other one will be supervising on behalf of the Deputy Commissioner. Except admit card and blue/black ball point pen, nothing else will be allowed to be taken inside the examination hall by the candidates. Further, it was notified that candidates are not to bring mobile phone/electronic devices with them while coming for examination. There will not be any arrangement for keeping in safe custody of the same in the centre.

It was also notified that the candidates whose particulars in Admit Card are wrong, the centre in-charge may allow him/her to sit in the examination on checking of his/her any government issued identity cards, like Aadhar, PAN, Driving License etc. Such candidates are to be advised to visit SEBA office after the examination to correct the data base.

All necessary measures to conduct the TET exam in a free and fair manner has been adopted by the state government. The examination will be held amidst tight security. The deputy commissioners, sub-divisional officers (civil) and the respective police stations of the districts will take care of the security of the examination centres. Security personnel will be present in the centre’s for frisking of the candidates.

Photographers were also appointed in each of the centre. The centre in-charge were directed to do video of the entire exam process from the start to the end. At present, 10,137 posts are vacant in the LP level while in the UP level 7,155 posts are lying vacant. Assam TET 2019 will be held after a gap of seven years.
