Assam Police arrests 3 Nigerians in Karimganj

November 4: Assam Police on Sunday night arrested 3 Nigerian nationals including one woman in Karimganj. They were on their way from Tripura to Guwahati and were traveling by a bus named Sherawali Travels. The three were arrested as they failed to produce legal documents of their identity.

On being interrogated by the police, the Nigerians confessed to being football players. They claimed to have entered the country via Tripura after crossing the Indo-Bangla border. Police are interrogating them to extract more details.
