Apollo Club organises awareness on COVID-19

March 21: Amidst rising threat of coronavirus infection and in the absence of any vaccine to arrest its spread, the only way out is to be aware. When there is no short cut to cure, it’s wise to rely on prevention. We in India are almost at the threshold of Stage 3 COVID-19. It is in this backdrop that the government is laying stress on social isolation and to following the advisories.Individuals and organisations are also trying their best to spread awareness in the society.

With this aim in view the members of Club Apollo, Meherpur dedicated themselves in spreading awareness among the people. They conducted the awareness drive from Meherpur to Link Road point, Silchar. On Saturday evening, the young brigade of Apollo put up posters at various visible points and also distributed leaflets among the people. In some places, they also demonstrated the ways of cleaning hands.

Those present during the awareness campaign were Joydip Chakraborty, Amit Goala, Nishu Das among others. Speaking to way2barak, Joydip Chakraborty said, “We are trying in our own little way to make people aware about the do’s and don’ts of this deadly virus. I would appeal to all to isolate each other and maintain social distance.”
