Anti-tobacco campaign organized at Women’s College

September 28: An anti-tobacco awareness campaign was organized by the NSS volunteers of Women’s College Silchar. The volunteers took a pledge to refrain from all kinds of tobacco related products. Apart from the NSS volunteers, general students of the college also participated in this awareness campaign.

All students under the guidance of their Programme Officer also took a vow that they will strive to create awareness against consumption of tobacco related products. Prof. Sanghamitra Nath spoke about the evil effects of tobacco and asked the NSS volunteers to persuade others to desist from such consumption.
