Anand NGO to distribute clothes among the needy on Mahalaya

September 18: Any occasion or celebration brings with it immense joy and happiness and when it comes to ‘Durga Puja’ the greatest festival of the Bengalis, the joy becomes multiplied. However, there are many in our society who due to poverty are unable to experience the festivities. Keeping this is mind, Anand NGO since the past few years had dedicated themselves in distribution of clothes among the poor and needy on the day of Mahalaya.

Just like every year, this year too Anand NGO will be distributing clothes among the financially deprived section of the society on the day of Mahalaya. Speaking to way2barak, Biswajit Paul, President of Anand said, “On 28 September, 2018, on the auspicious occasion of Mahalaya, we will be distributing clothes and food at Bazar Kolkata, Club Road, Silchar. For this, we would request our fellow citizens to come forward and donate old and new clothes in good condition. We have earmarked a few collection points. On the same day, artists from renowned band ‘Madly Bangali will also perform at Bazar Kolkata point, which will add glamour to the occasion. In a press meet convened by Anand NGO, the members invited all to be a witness to the events which will be organised by them on the day of Mahalaya.
