Airports Authority of India & CISF organises blood donation camp at Silchar Airport

January 10: Blood is needed regularly for patients with diseases such as thalassemia and hemophilia, and also for the treatment of injuries after an accident, major surgeries, anemia, etc. The most precious gift that one can give to another person is the gift of life i.e. blood. It is the essence of life. Keeping this aspect in mind, Airports Authority of India (AAI) along with Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) jointly organised a blood donation camp.

The said blood donation camp was organised in collaboration with Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) at Silchar Airport on Wednesday. Even the female employees too participated with great enthusiasm in the camp and donated blood.

While donated blood is beneficial for people in need, medical professionals maintain that donating blood also benefits the donor. The organisers thanked the officials of AAI, CISF, Air India, IndiGo, FlySpiceJet, Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Silchar who participated in this noble cause.
