Air Asia to fly on Agartala-Guwahati route from October 2019

September 18: Low-cost carrier, Air Asia, will now fly between Guwahati and Agartala from October 2019. Air Asia is currently operating flights from Guwahati and Imphal in the northeast apart from other states.

As per sources, Air Asia got the initial approval from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation to operate a few flights from Tripura capital Agartala connecting Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati and other cities of India. It was also learnt that the preliminary work, including recruitment of supporting and ground staff, has been completed. Air Asia is likely to start operations in this new Agartala-Guwahati sector from the fourth week of October.
