After Karimganj, BSNL launches 4G service in Hailakandi town.

June 20: It’s good news for the two towns of Barak Valley. Yes indeed, the towns of Karimganj and Hailakandi were lucky enough to be digitally ahead as BSNL have launched its 4G services over there. After Karimganj, BSNL now launched its 4G service in Hailakandi town.

BSNL has already launched its 4G service in Karimganj town and nearby areas from 12 June, 2019. The company is also soon expected to expand its 4G connectivity at Badarpur circle. BSNL officials have informed that its users can avail 4G service by exchanging their 3G sim with 4G.

However, this has left a big question among the people of Silchar. Though it is learnt that BSNL has already completed laying of optical fibre wires at Silchar, yet for reasons best known to them, 4G services has not yet seen the light of the day at Silchar.
