আবেগ থেকেই গণেশ পুজো
AABEG NGO performs Ganesh Chaturthi as a mark of auspiciousness

১৩ সেপ্টেম্বর : উদ্যমী এবং উৎসাহী যুবাদের একটি দল সব সময়ই সমাজের জন্য নতুন কিছু করার সুযোগ খোঁজে। যখন বর্তমান সমাজ অনেক বেশি উদাসীন এবং নিজেদের নিয়েই ব্যস্ত থাকতে আগ্রহী, সে সময়ই এই যুবাদের দল ‘আবেগ’ নামে একটি বেসরকারি সংগঠনের জন্ম দিয়েছে এবং নিজেদের ক্ষুদ্র প্রচেষ্টায় গত ৫ বছর থেকে সমাজকে পরিবর্তনের চেষ্টা চালিয়ে যাচ্ছে। এই পৃথিবীটাকে বাঁচার উপযোগী করে তুলতে কোনও কিছুতেই তারা পিছিয়ে থাকতে রাজি নন।

এ বছর আবেগের সদস্যরা গণেশ পুজো করার সিদ্ধান্ত নেন। আবেগের সাংস্কৃতিক সম্পাদক তথা সংগীতশিল্পী বিক্রমজিত বাউলিয়া এ নিয়ে ওয়ে টু বরাককে জানিয়েছেন, ভগবান গণেশ কোনও কিছুর প্রকৃষ্টতা ও সূচনাকে সূচিত করেন এবং সামাজিক কাজে আরও বেশি করে নিজেদের জড়িয়ে রাখতে এ বছর গণেশ চতুর্থী উৎসব আয়োজনের সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছেন তারা।

আবেগের আরেক সদস্য নবরূপ দত্ত বলেন, ‘আজ আমরা তিন হাজার মানুষকে প্রসাদ বিতরণ করেছি। আগামীকাল একইভাবে আমরা ভক্তদের মধ্যে প্রসাদ বিতরণ করব।’ গত ৫ বছর ধরে সংগঠনের বিভিন্ন সামাজিক কাজগুলোও এ দিন তিনি পাশাপাশি উল্লেখ করেছেন। তিনি বলেন, তারা সামাজিক কাজের অঙ্গ হিসেবে এ পর্যন্ত বেশ কয়েকটি স্বাস্থ্য শিবির ও রক্তদান শিবিরের আয়োজন করেছেন এবং কিছু দুস্থ মানুষের মধ্যে কাপড় বিতরণ করেছেন।

তিনি এও বলেন, বর্তমান পৃথিবী ধর্ম, জাতি, ভাষার নামে দোদুল্যমান, তবে আবেগ পৃথিবীজুড়ে ভালোবাসার বার্তা ছড়িয়ে দিতেই বিশ্বাস করে। আবেগের অন্য সদস্যদের মধ্যে রয়েছেন সভাপতি সত্যজিৎ নন্দি, সম্পাদক সমীর শীল এবং পৃথ্বীরাজ চৌধুরী।

আবেগকে এই পুজো আয়োজনে সহযোগিতার হাত বাড়িয়ে দিয়েছে আরেকটি সংগঠন ফ্রেন্ডস গ্রুপ। এই গ্রুপের সভাপতি মিত্রজিৎ পাল সম্পাদক সুশান্ত পাল, সহ-সম্পাদক সুরজ পাল এবং ভিকি দেব এই গণেশ পুজো ঠিকভাবে আয়োজনের ক্ষেত্রে প্রচন্ড উৎসাহী ছিলেন।

September 13:  A young band of fiery and enthusiastic group seems to be always in the look out of an opportunity to do something for the society. When the modern society is more bent upon remaining aloof and be busy into their own selfish world, this young group has formed a NGO, named AABEG and are trying in their own little way since the last 5 years to be a catalyst of change.

They leave no stones unturned to make this world a better place to live in. The members of AABEG decided to perform Ganesh Puja this year. Renowned singer Bikramjit Baulia is also an active member of this NGO. Speaking to way2barak, Bikramjit Baulia, Cultural Secretary of AABEG said that Lord Ganesha symbolizes auspiciousness and they have decided to observe Ganesh Chaturthi to seek His blessings so that they could themselves in a more active way in social service.

Nabarup Dutta another member of AABEG said that, “Today we have distributed Prasad to nearly 3000 people. Tomorrow also we will be distributing Prasad among the devotees.” He referred to the various social service activities they have undertaken since the inception of their NGO 5 years ago. They have many a times organized medical camps, blood donation camps and have also distributed clothes among the poor and needy. He also said that in the present world tormented by religion, caste, creed, language etc, AABEG believes in spreading the message of love. President of AABEG Satyajit Nandi, Secretary Samir Shil and Prithviraj Choudhury are some of their strong pillars.

AABEG has been helped to conduct the puja in a smooth way by another association ‘Friends Group.’ President of the group Mitrajit Paul, its Secretary Sushanta Paul, Assistant Secretary Suraj Paul and Vicky Deb have done their utmost to organize the Ganesh Puja properly.

Bikramjit further informed that on September 16, the idol of Ganesha will be immersed by obeying the rules made by district administration. He said that they will not be playing any sound system during the immersion procession and will rather exhibit the rich Indian culture on the way.
