কৃষ্টি সংস্কৃতির মোড়কে তরুণ সংঘের মিলন উৎসব
Tarun Sangha upholds legacy of cultural festival

১১ নভেম্বর : বিভিন্ন ক্লাব ও পুজো কমিটি দুর্গাপূজা বা কালী পূজার আয়োজন করে। কিন্তু তাতে বেশি সংখ্যায় মহিলাদের অংশগ্রহণ খুব কমই চোখে পড়ে। তবে শিলচর শহরে এমন কিছু পাড়া বা এলাকা রয়েছে যেখানে বিভিন্ন বয়সের মহিলারা উৎসাহের সঙ্গে পুজোর আয়োজনে নিজেদের জড়িয়ে রাখেন। শিলচর হিতেশ বিশ্বাস রোডে তরুণ সংঘের কালীপুজো মহিলাদের অংশগ্রহণে এমনই এক নজির তৈরি করেছে। গত ৫০ বছর ধরে হিতেশ বিশ্বাস রোডের এই কালীপুজোয় এগিয়ে এসেছেন মহিলা ও কম বয়সী মেয়েরা।

কিন্তু তাই বলে এলাকার পুরুষ সদস্যরা যে পুজোর আয়োজন থেকে দূরে রয়েছেন এমন নয। বরং পরিবারের কর্তারা তাদের গিন্নিকে পুজোর আয়োজনে যুক্ত করতে বেশি উৎসাহী ছিলেন। তরুণ সংঘের এই কালীপুজোর অন্য দিক দিয়েও এক স্বতন্ত্র বৈশিষ্ট্য রয়েছে। পুজোর তিন দিন ধরে এখানে আয়োজন করা হয় এক সাংস্কৃতিক মিলন উৎসবের। এ বছরও একইভাবে পুজোর তিন দিন অর্থাৎ মঙ্গল থেকে বৃহস্পতিবার পর্যন্ত এলাকার প্রবীণ ও নবীনরা মিলে এক সাংস্কৃতিক উৎসবের আয়োজন করেন। এর অঙ্গ হিসেবে ছিল নৃত্য, সংগীত, নাটক এবং বিভিন্ন ধরনের খেলাধুলো। স্থানীয় শিল্পীদের পাশাপাশি আমন্ত্রিতরাও এই উৎসবে নিজেদের অনুষ্ঠান পরিবেশন করেছেন।

ওয়ে টু বরাক প্রতিনিধির সঙ্গে কথা বলতে গিয়ে তরুণ সংঘের এক সদস্য বলেন, ‘বর্তমানে যেভাবে সবকিছুতে বাণিজ্যিকীকরণের রমরমা চলছে, তাতে এ ধরণের সাংস্কৃতিক বৈশিষ্ট্যগুলো দ্রুত হারিয়ে যাচ্ছে। এই পরিস্থিতিতে পুজোকে কেন্দ্র করে তিন দিনের এই সাংস্কৃতিক কর্মসূচিতে আমরা এক পরিবারের মতোই অংশগ্রহণ করি। আর এভাবে প্রত্যেকের উৎসাহ সবার মধ্যে মিলেমিশে একাকার হয়ে যায়। এলাকার এক কলেজছাত্রী আনন্দের সঙ্গে বলে যে, পুজোকে কেন্দ্র করে তিন দিনের এই সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান তারা খুব আনন্দে কাটায়। এর পাশাপাশি বিভিন্ন সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠানেও তারা অংশগ্রহণ করে।

পরিশেষে একথা উল্লেখ করতেই হয়, আমাদের ঋদ্ধ সাংস্কৃতিক ঐতিহ্যকে ছড়িয়ে দিতে তরুণ সংঘের এই মিলন উৎসব সত্যিই এক দৃষ্টান্তস্বরূপ। আর এভাবে গত পঞ্চাশ বছর ধরে ধর্মীয় উৎসবের অঙ্গণে নিজেদের সাংস্কৃতিক ঐতিহ্যকে ছড়িয়ে দিতে বিশেষ ভূমিকা পালন করে চলেছে তরুণ সংঘ।

November 11: Very rarely women at large are seen to involve themselves in conducting either Durga Puja or Kali Puja organized by various clubs. However, there are some localities where women of all ages are found to be actively involved in various activities of puja. Among others, one such rare Kali Puja is conducted by ‘Tarun Sangha’ of Hitesh Biswas Road, Ambicapatty. This legacy is carried forward by the ladies and young girls of Hitesh Biswas Road since the last 50 years.

That does not mean that the male members of the locality remain aloof from the celebration. They too are very much involved in assisting their female counterpart in the puja celebration. Tarun Sangha’s Kali Puja is also unique in another aspect. It is the cultural festival which they organize during the three days of puja.

This year too, similar cultural activities were conducted by the young and old together from Tuesday to Thursday in which songs, dance, music, drama and recitation were presented. Various games and sports were also organized. Along with the local talents, invited artists also performed over there.

Speaking to way2barak, a member of Tarun Sangha said that in this age of consumerism, social ties, cultural characteristics are very fast eroding. It always remains our endeavour to see that during these 3 days centering Kali Puja we could all together celebrate as one family and instill spirit of oneness amongst us. A young college student of the area was all happy to share that they enjoy very much during these 3 days and takes part in different cultural activities.

In fine, it could be asserted that Tarun Sangha indeed is a glaring example of transmitting our rich cultural heritage to the posterity. The way they have intermingled a religious ceremony with a cultural festival speaks volume of their rich tradition since the last 50 golden years.
