৮ নভেম্বরঃ ২৪ ঘণ্টার মধ্যে সুজিত দাসের খুনিদের গ্রেফতার করা হবে। সে জন্য স্পেশাল ইনভেস্টিগেশন টিম (এসআইটি) গঠন করা হবে। এই আশ্বাস পেয়ে অবরোধ প্রত্যাহার করা হয়েছে। মৃতদেহ রাঙ্গিরখাড়ির রাস্তায় রেখে চলা এক ঘণ্টার অবরোধে অবশ্য কোনও অপ্রীতিকর ঘটনা ঘটেনি।

অতিরিক্ত পুলিশ সুপার ভিভি রাকেশ রেড্ডির সঙ্গে আলোচনার মাধ্যমে রাত সাড়ে ১১টায় রাস্তা ছেড়ে দেন অবরোধকারীরা। পরে সুজিত দাসের মৃতদেহ মূল বাড়ি বড়জালেঙ্গায় নিয়ে যাওয়া হয়।

November 8: The murderers of Sujit Das will be arrested within 24 hours. For this purpose, Special Investigation Team (SIT) will be formed On getting this assurance from the Additional Police Super, Rakesh Reddy, the road blockade at Rangirkhari point of Silchar was withdrawn. However, no untoward incident was reported during the one hour road blockade at Rangirkhari keeping the dead body in the mid of the road.

Around 11.30 PM Rakesh Reddy was able to convince the mob and they ultimately dispersed. Finally, the dead body of Sujit Das was taken to his ancestral home at Barjalenga. Sujit used to work in a hotel at Silchar and stayed in a rented house at Tarani Road. Sujit is survived by his wife and a kid.
