AIDSO protests against enhancement of HSLC fees

২৫ অক্টোবর : আসাম মাধ্যমিক শিক্ষা পর্ষদ হঠাৎ করে স্কুল শিক্ষান্ত পরীক্ষা ও হাই মাদ্রাসা পরীক্ষার ফি বাড়িয়ে দেওয়ার সিদ্ধান্তে তীব্র প্রতিবাদ জানিয়েছে সারা ভারত গণতান্ত্রিক ছাত্র সংস্থা অর্থাৎ এআইডিএসও। বৃহস্পতিবার কাছাড়ের জেলাশাসকের কার্যালয়ের সামনে ছাত্র সংস্থার পক্ষ থেকে এক বিক্ষোভ কর্মসূচি পালন করা হয়।

বিক্ষোভ কর্মসূচির পাশাপাশি এআইডিএসও-র কাছাড় জেলা কমিটির পক্ষ থেকে জেলাশাসকের মাধ্যমে সেবা সচিবকে একটি স্মারকপত্র পাঠানো হয়। পরে ছাত্র সংস্থার পক্ষ থেকে অভিযোগ করা হয়, সেবা কর্তৃপক্ষ অন্যায় ও অযৌক্তিকভাবে ফি বৃদ্ধি করার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে। এতে গোটা রাজ্যের গরিব ও মেহনতি পরিবারের পড়ুয়ারা নানা সমস্যার মুখে পড়বে। এভাবে গোটা রাজ্যের শিক্ষা ব্যবস্থাকে বেসরকারিকরণের প্রচেষ্টাও চালাচ্ছে সরকার। এআইডিএসও শিলচর শাখার পক্ষে গৌরচন্দ্র দাস বলেন, এই আন্দোলন সারা রাজ্যে চালিয়ে যাবে এআইডিএসও। তিনি এই আন্দোলনে পড়ুয়া ও তাদের অভিভাবকদের যোগ দেওয়ারও আহ্বান জানান।

প্রসঙ্গত, সেকেন্ডারি এডুকেশন বোর্ড অব আসাম রাজ্যে মাধ্যমিক ও হাই মাদ্রাসা পরীক্ষার ফি বৃদ্ধির সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে। বর্ধিত ফি অনুযায়ী বর্তমানের মাধ্যমিক পরীক্ষার ৫০০ টাকা ফির পরিবর্তে পরীক্ষার্থীদের ৬৫০ টাকা দিতে হবে। তাছাড়া স্কুলের বার্ষিক ফি ৫০০ টাকা থেকে বাড়িয়ে ৮০০ টাকা করা হয়েছে।

All India Democratic Students Organisation (AIDSO) protested against sudden enhancement of HSLC and High Mardasa fees by Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA). On Thursday, a protest demonstration was organised by AIDSO in front of the office of Deputy Commissioner, Cachar.

Apart from demonstration, AIDSO has also submitted a memorandum in this regard. The memorandum addressed to the Secretary of SEBA was sent through the Deputy Commissioner. Later on, speaking to way2barak, they alleged that SEBA authorities have enhanced the fees in an irrational manner. This will have a negative impact upon the poor students. This is an attempt to privatize education system. Gour Chandra Das of AIDSO said that their party will continue this movement throughout Assam. He further appealed to the students and their guardians to participate in this movement.

It needs mention here that Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) conducts HSLC and High Madrasa examinations in the state. The fees for the said examination was enhanced from Rs.500 to Rs.650. Apart from this, the annual fees of school has also been enhanced from Rs.500 to Rs.800.
