Ritwiz to organise a drama & film on foreigner’s issue

১৯ সেপ্টেম্বর : কাঁটাতারের বেড়া ভাগ করে দিয়েছে দেশকে। ফলে স্বভূমে থেকেও আজ অনেকে পরবাসী। আবার অনেকে কয়েক প্রজন্ম এ দেশে বসবাস করেও সরকারের নোটিশ পেয়ে ডি ভোটার হচ্ছেন। সব ধরনের নথিপত্র থাকার পরও ভারতীয় প্রমাণ করতে না পেরে নিজেকে শেষ করে দিচ্ছেন, আত্মহত্যার পথ বেছে নিচ্ছেন। বর্তমান সময়ে এ এক বড় সমস্যা। অস্তিত্ব সংকটে ভুগছেন এখানকার বাঙালিরা।

এই প্রেক্ষাপট নিয়েই এক অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করেছে করিমগঞ্জের ঋত্বিজ। ২২ সেপ্টেম্বর করিমগঞ্জ জেলা গ্রন্থাগার ভবনে ঋত্বিজের আয়োজনে থাকবে একটি ছায়াছবি ও একটি নাটক। শুরু হবে সন্ধে সাড়ে ছ’টায়। করিমগঞ্জের ফোর্থ ডায়মেনশনের প্রযোজনায় প্রদর্শিত হবে স্বল্প দৈর্ঘের ছবি ‘বিদেশি’। আর থাকবে শিলচরের গণসুর সাংস্কৃতিক সংস্থা ও বরাক উপত্যকা নন্দিনী সাহিত্য ও পাঠচক্রের প্রযোজনায় নাটক ‘আত্মহত্যার পর’। অরিজিৎ আদিত্যের লেখা এই নাটকটির পরিচালনায় রয়েছেন সুব্রত রায়। উদ্যোক্তাদের পক্ষ থেকে এই অনুষ্ঠানে সবাইকে আমন্ত্রণ জানানো হয়েছে। প্রসঙ্গত, এই অনুষ্ঠানের মিডিয়া পার্টনার হিসেবে রয়েছে way2barak.com

September 19: The borders were demarcated by wired fencing. As a result, many have become foreigners in their own land. After staying in this land for several generations many were served the notice of D Voters. Inspite of having proper documents, many failed to prove themselves as Indians and have chosen the path of suicide. This has become a burning issue now. Bengalis of this region are now facing crisis of identity.

It is in this context that Ritwiz has organized a programme at District Library Auditorium, Karimganj on September 22. On that day, a short film entitled ‘Videshi’ (Foreigner) produced by Fourth Dimension will be screened. Ganasur Cultural Organisation of Silchar will also present a drama named, ‘Attohottar Por’ (After Suicide). The drama is written by Arijit Aditya and Directed by Subrata Roy.
