করিমগঞ্জে বর্ষসেরা পুরস্কার বাকসের
BUKSS gives award of the year in Karimganj

বরাক উপত্যকা ক্রীড়া সাংবাদিক সংস্থা (বাকস) এ বারও একঝাঁক প্রতিভাবান খেলোয়াড়কে করিমগঞ্জের বর্ষসেরা হিসেবে পুরস্কৃত করেছে। তাঁরা হলেন বিশ্বজিত ঘোষ (টাইকোয়ানডো), মোহাম্মদ আবদুল্লা (ফুটবল), বৃন্দা কোঁয়র (ফুটবল), দ্বৈপায়ন দেব (ক্রিকেট), দীপশিখা রুদ্রপাল (ক্রিকেট), সৈয়দ জাহান হোসেন (দাবা), শুভম রায় (অ্যাথলেটিকস), ইমদাদুল হক (ভলিবল) ও শাহ নওয়াজ (ক্যারাটে)। এ ছাড়া, প্রয়াত বণবীর চৌধুরীকে প্রদান করা হয় মরণো্ত্তর সম্মান। তাঁকেই এ বছরের সেরা ক্রীড়া ব্যক্তিত্ব হিসেবে বাছাই করেছে বাকসের করিমগঞ্জ জেলা শাখা।তাঁর পত্নী বন্দিতা চৌধুরী সেই সম্মানস্মারক গ্রহণ করেন।

বর্ষসেরাদের পুরস্কৃত করার আগে বাকস এক আলোচনা সভার আয়োজন করে। বিষয় ছিলঃ করিমগঞ্জের ক্রীড়া বিকাশে সংগঠকদের ভূমিকা। আলোচনায়  অংশ নেন ডিএসএ-র সহসচিব প্রদীপ দেব, নির্ঝর কান্তি পাল, সুবীর রায়চৌধুরী ও সনু ভট্টাচার্য।

September 16: This year also ‘Barak Upottoka Krira Sangbadik Sangstha’ (BUKSS) has given player of the year award to a galaxy of players of Karimganj. Those who were given player of the year award include Biswajit Ghosh (Taikawando), Mohammad Abdullah (Football), Daipayan Deb (Cricket), Dipshikha Rudra Paul (Cricket), Syed Jahan Hossain (Chess), Subhan Roy (Athletics), Imadul Haque (Volleyball) and Shah Nawaj (Karate). Apart from them, Ranabir Choudhury was also awarded posthumously. He has been selected as the player of the year by the Karimganj district committee of BUKSS. The award was received by his wife Bandita Choudhury.

Before the start of the award ceremony, a panel discussion was organized by BUKSS. The topic of the discussion was: “Role of organizers in the development of sports in Karimganj.” The panelists were Assistant Secretary of DSA Pradip Deb, Nirjhar Kanti Paul, Subir Roy Choudhury and Sonu Bhattacharjee.
