Yoga Niketan shines bright in South Assam Yogasan competition organised by Town Club

February 4: The South Assam Yogasan Competition was organised by Town Club on last Sunday. There were participants in various age groups. Children and teenagers from various parts of South Assam took part in this prestigious Yogasan competition.

It needs mention here that the students of ‘Yoga Niketan’ exhibited the skills of yogasan to the satisfaction of all and achieved prizes in different categories. The following students of ‘Yoga Niketan’ won prizes and earned laurels for their centre:

Below 6 Boys & Girls:

• First: Prith Paul (Boys)
• Second: Annewesha Bhattacharjee (Girls)
• Third: Jonojit Saha

Age 6 to 9:

• First: Atyunttoma Nath (Girls)
• Second: Sumedh Roy (Boys)

Age 9 to 12:

• First: Smraneeka Bhattacharjee (Girls)
• Second: Minal Uddin Laskar (Boys)
• Third: Protik Bhattacharjee (Boys)

Age 12 to 15:

• Third: Krishanu Choudhury (Boys)

Age 15 to 20:

• First: Prosenjit Das (Boys)

A total of 10 students of ‘Yoga Niketan’ won prizes in the said Yogasan Competition. In all categories, those who stood first were given a sum of Rs. 5000 along with other prizes. Second position winners were given a cash amount of Rs. 3000 and prizes whereas, the third prize winners got Rs. 2000 along with prizes.
