সেতু বিতর্কঃ কিশোর নাথের পক্ষে মিছিল

বরাক সেতু মধুরাঘাট না অন্নপূর্ণাঘাটে হবে, এ নিয়ে জোর বিতর্ক রয়েছে। সব পক্ষেরই দাবি, সেতু চাই আমাদের এলাকায়। সে সময়ে নতুন বিতর্ক দেখা দিয়েছে চৈতন্যনগর অঞ্চলে। তারা সেতু চান না। কিন্তু তাদের আশঙ্কা, ইটখলা ঘাটে সেতু তৈরির জন্য  বড়খলার বিধায়ক আঁটঘাট বেঁধে লেগেছেন। তাতে শতাধিক পরিবার ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হবে। তাঁরা কিশোর নাথের উপর তীব্র ক্ষোভ ঝারেন। এরই প্রেক্ষিতে বৃহ্পতিবার কিশোর নাথের সমর্থনে মিছিল বের হয়।  শিলচর পূর্ত বিভাগের পান্থ নিবাস থেকে মিছিল জেলাশাসকের কার্যালয়ে পৌঁছায়। সেখানে বিক্ষোভ প্রদর্শন করেন সংগঠনের নেতৃবৃব্দ। পরে জেলাশাসকের হাতে স্মারকলিপি  তুলে দিয়েছেন তাঁরা। বড়খলা বিকাশ পরিষদ ও বড়খলা সুশীল সমাজের ব্যানারে দাবি ওঠে, বিধায়কের বিরুদ্ধে কারা মানুষকে খেপিয়ে তুলছে, তদন্ত করে দোষীদের চিহ্নিত করতে হবে। তাঁদের কথায়, সেতু কোথায় হবে, কিশোরবাবু সে ব্যাপারে কোনও চাপ  সৃষ্টিতে নেই। বরং এক্সপার্ট কমিটি গড়ে দেওয়ায় তাঁরাই সিদ্ধান্ত নেবেন বলে কিশোরবাবু নিজে বিভিন্ন জায়গায় বলেছেন।

September 13: There is an ongoing controversy regarding construction of Barak Bridge at Madhuraghat or Annapurnaghat. There are supporters with equal strenghth on both the sides. Centering this issue, a new controvery has taken birth in Chaitanya Nagar area. They have an apprehension that MLA Borkhola is striving hard to erect that bridge at Itkholaghat. They feel that if this plan materializes, then more than 100 families will be displaced. People of the area expressed deep anger against MLA Kishore Nath.

In response to this, a rally was taken in favour of MLA Kishore Nath on Thursday. The rally started from ‘Pantho Nivas’ of PWD and reached near the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Cachar. Over there a demonstration was staged by the leaders by raising slogans. After that they handed a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner. Demand was raised under the banner of Borkhola Bikash Parishad and Borkhola Civil Society to identify those who are maligning the image of Kishore Nath. They said that MLA Kishore Nath is in noway connected about the spot where the bridge will be constructed. Rather there is an expert committee which will decide the spot where the bridge is to be built.
