Foreigners included in NRC, Pradip Dutta Roy wants Hajela to be punished

১৩ সেপ্টেম্বরঃ এতদিন কথাটা শুধু আসাম পাবলিক ওয়ার্কস ও কৃষক মুক্তি সংগ্রামই বলছিল। বৃহস্পতিবার সাংবাদিকদের ডেকে একই কথা বললেন আকসা-র প্রতিষ্ঠাতা সভাপতি প্রদীপ দত্তরায়। তাঁর বক্তব্য, ১০ লক্ষ বিদেশির নাম ঢুকে পড়েছে এনআরসি-র খসড়ায়। বরপেটা, গোয়ালপাড়া, ধুবড়ি, নগাঁও তো বটেই, করিমগঞ্জ, হাইলাকান্দিতেও ৫০ শতাংশ বিদেশির নাম স্থান পেয়েছে। তাই এনআরসি-র খসড়াকে মানেন না  তিনি। গোটা প্রক্রিয়াটাকেই বাতিল করে নতুনভাবে কাজ শুরুর আর্জি জানান তিনি। আর সমস্ত ভুল-্ত্রুটির দায় চাপান প্রতীক হাজেলার কাঁধে। বলেন, হাজেলার জন্য এত বিশাল কাজটা এখন হাসির খোরাকে পরিণত হয়েছে।তার ৫ নথি বাতিলের হলফনামায় প্রদীপবাবু তীব্র ক্ষোভ প্রকাশ করেন। তাঁর কথায়, হাজেলাকে রেখে এনআরসি কখনও সম্পন্ন হবে না। তিনি সংবিধানবিরোধী, সুপ্রিম কোর্টকে অবমাননা করেছেন, রাজ্য সরকারকে ফাঁকি দিয়েছেন। তাই তাঁকে সমন্বয়কের পদ থেকে বরখাস্ত করা হোক।

September 13: Till now such type of claims were made by Assam Public Works and Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti. However, on Thursday, the same was uttered by Pradip Dutta Roy, founder President of ACKHSA in front of the newspersons. He said that 10 lakh foreigners were included in the final draft of NRC published on July 30.

Elaborating on this issue Mr. Dutta Roy said that not only in the districts of Barpeta, Goalpara, Dhubri and Nagoan, but even in Karimganj and Hailakandi 50 percent names of foreigners have found its place in the draft NRC. That is why he disregards the draft NRC. He appealed to cancel the entire process of NRC done so far and start the whole thing afresh.

Pradip Dutta Roy blamed Pratik Hajela for all discrepancies in the draft NRC. He said that the vast exercise like that of NRC has turned out to be a comedy only due to Hajela. Mr. Dutta Roy also severely criticized Hajela for deleting 5 types of documents in his affidavit submitted to Supreme Court, out of the list of 15 for proving one’s citizenship. He categorically stated that the task of NRC cannot be completed by retaining Hajela in the post of State Coordinator of NRC. He alleged that Hajela’s activities are anti-constitutional and also amounts to contempt of Supreme Court. He said that Hajela has also kept the state government at dark regarding many matters. He raised the demand of immediate sacking of Hajela from the post of State Coordinator of NRC and a new state coordinator from outside the state of Assam should be appointed to complete this task.
