G S Roy Birth Centenary Celebration Committee distributes food items in an orphanage

November 30: Late Gauri Shankar Roy Birth Centenary Celebration Committee has distributed Dry Foods, fruits , snacks , buiscuits , chocolates and other items among the residents of ‘Era Amader’ , a mentally Challenged ‘Orphanage Home’ at Silchar Das Colony on Saturday.

Its the fifth serial monthly programme , of a year long celebration, which got started on 12 July, 2019 and will conclude in a grand way on 12 July, 2020. All the residents of ‘Era Amader’, of different age groups were very happy to receive the food items. On behalf of the Celebration Committee, Advisor Chandrabati Roy, Secretary Sanjeev Roy, Dinesh Kahar, Bandita Trivedi Roy, Prosonno Das, Altaf Laskar were present along with Mira Das and Rita Nath of ‘Era Amader’. Every month , the celebration will continue in different way with a variety of programmes.

Late G S Roy was four times MLA of Katlicherra constituency, renowned Freedom Fighter and  INTUC Leader of yesteryear.
