DC Cachar visits offices related to Education Department, instructs to expedite the pending works

September 23: Laya Madduri, Deputy Commissioner, Cachar visited offices related to the Education Department at Silchar on Monday. First of all, she paid her visit to the office of the Inspector of Schools,Cachar, Silchar, where she interacted with all the employees of the office and enquired about their way of functioning. She also gave necessary instructions to expedite the pending works. She stressed on cleanliness of the office rooms and toilets and instructed the employees to maintain the cleanliness of the office.

DC Madduri then visited District Elementary Education Office (DEEO), Sarba Siksha Avijan (SSA), Cachar. She also went to the Pension Section under Elementary Education Department and enquired about the ongoing procedure of disbursal of pension related matters. She also visited other sections of the Elementary Education Department, Cachar and interacted with the staff.

This was followed by a visit to the office of the DMC, SSA, Cachar. There DC Madduri interacted with interacted with District Programme Officer and other officials and staff. She took stock of the progress of various projects of SSA. She instructed District Project Engineer to complete the electrification of remaining schools and to submit block wise report along with toilet condition therein.

Deputy Commissioner also gave necessary instructions and suggestion to all district officials and JES regarding “Beti Bachao Beti Padao” activities which are to be carried out at school level and to encourage school children to collect garbage at school and also to put in segregated dustbin as per nature of the garbage. Mrs. Laya Madduri further reviewed about the status of RSTC, KGVB and took stock about fund position of various components under DMC,SSA, Cachar. She reviewed the special programme “Evening Learning of Child” which is to be initiated in the district of Cachar with the help of community participation.
