কাটলিছড়া বিএড কলেজের ৫২ ছাত্রছাত্রীর রক্তদান
Blood donation camp organized by S.K.Roy B.Ed College, Katlicherra

রক্তদান করলেন হাইলাকান্দি জেলার এসকে রায় বিএড কলেজের ৫২ জন ছাত্রছাত্রী। তাদের মধ্যে ছাত্রী ১৬জন। এই কলেজের এটিই প্রথম রক্তদান শিবির।

প্রতি বছর দেশে ৫ কোটি ইউনিট রক্তের প্রয়োজন। এর মধ্যে আড়াই কোটি ইউনিটেরই ব্যবস্থা হয়। ফলে রক্তের সঙ্কট লেগেই থাকে। এই চাহিদা শুধু মানুষের রক্ত দিয়েই মেটাতে হয়। এর কোনও বিকল্প নেই। সেইসব মাথায় রেখেই সোমবার ছাত্রছাত্রীরা কলেজ কর্তৃপক্ষের সহযোগিতায় এই রক্তদান শিবিরের আয়োজন করে। সঙ্গে ছিল বরাক ভ্যালি ভলান্টারি ব্লাড ডোনার্স ফোরামের হাইলাকান্দি শাখা।

Every year our nation requires about 5 crore units of blood, out of which only a meager 2.5 crore units of blood are available.  The gift of blood is the gift of life. There is no substitute for human blood. Keeping in view, this aspect of life, S.K. Roy, B.Ed College, Katlicherra in Hailakandi district organized a blood donation camp. The camp was the maiden venture of its kind by the college.

The said blood donation camp was organized by S.K. Roy, B.Ed College with the support of Barak Valley Voluntary Blood Donors Forum (BVVBDF), Hailakandi. It needs mention here that the BVVBDF is one such organization in the valley which is dedicated to the task of blood donation. In the said camp at Katlicherra, a total of 52 persons donated blood, out of which 16 were females.
