In India, no Hindu can be a foreigner, says VHP & demanded inclusion of all Hindus in NRC

August 25: “In India, no Hindu can be a foreigner. We are not against NRC. But, those Hindu names that have been left out have to be incorporated in the final list at any cost.” This was the bold demand raised by Mithun Nath, Vice President of Cachar district Viswa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on the sidelines of a massive rally taken out to mark its foundation day on the occasion of Janmasthami at Silchar on Saturday.

The VHP Vice President of Cachar District further aired the view that many names of Hindus have been left out from the two draft lists published earlier. The migrant Hindus, who have come from Bangladesh and Pakistan, are an integral part of India. They have come to India due to religious persecution. Those whose names were not included in the 2nd list are in great tension. He further said that VHP will launch a vigorous protest if names of many Hindus are dropped from the final NRC.

As per the direction of the Supreme Court of India, the final NRC will be declared on 31 August, 2019.
