Mild earthquake rocks Silchar

২৫ মার্চঃ ভূমিকম্পে কেঁপে উঠল উত্তর-পূর্ব ভারতের বৃহদাংশ। সোমবার সন্ধ্যা ৬টা ১১  মিনিট ২৩ সেকেন্ডে হালকা দোলা অনুভূত হয়। ভারত সরকারের আবহাওয়া বিভাগ জানিয়েছে, রিখটারে এই কম্পন ছিল ৪.৬।

মণিপুরের চূড়াচান্দপুর থেকে ১৫ কিলোমিটার দূরে ছিল উতসভূমি। ৫৪ কিলোমিটার গভীরে এর সূচনা হয়। তবে তাতে কোথাও কোনও ক্ষয়ক্ষতি নেই। শিলচরেও হালকা টের পাওয়া যায়। তবে স্থায়িত্ব ছিল খুবই কম।

March 25: A major portion of North East India felt mild tremour on Monday evening at 6.11 in the evening. As per government sources, the earthquake measured 4.6 in the Richter scale. It had its origin at 15 kms away from Churachandpur in Manipur.

The quake occured 54 kms beneath the earth’s surface. However, there were no reports of any damage to life and property. Tremour  was also felt at Silchar. The earthquake last for some few seconds.
