৬ জানুয়ারি : প্রাক্তন প্রধানমন্ত্রী মনমোহন সিংয়ের বায়োপিক ঘিরে যখন নানা বিতর্ক দানা বেঁধেছে, তখন বর্তমান প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদির বায়োপিক তৈরির তোড়জোড় চলছে। ইতিমধ্যে ‘দ্য অ্যাক্সিডেন্টাল প্রাইম মিনিস্টার’ ছবিকে ঘিরে রাজনৈতিক মহলেও ব্যাপক আলোচনা শুরু হয়েছে। এর মধ্যেই এই নতুন বায়োপিকের খবর।

বেশ কিছুদিন ধরেই নরেন্দ্র মোদির বায়োপিক নিয়ে কথাবার্তা শোনা যাচ্ছিল। এ বার তা প্রায় প্রকাশ্যে আসতে শুরু করেছে। ‘মেরি কম’ এর মতো বায়োপিক তৈরি করে যে পরিচালক বলিউডে লাইমলাইটে এসেছিলেন, সেই উমাঙ্গ কুমারই মোদির বায়োপিক তৈরি করছেন বলে জানা গেছে। খুব সম্ভবত ৭ জানুয়ারি এই ছবির প্রথম পোস্টার বাজারে আসছে। ফলে এখন শুধু অপেক্ষার পালা।
জনৈক ফিল্ম বিশেষজ্ঞ তরণ আদর্শ এক পোস্টে লিখেছেন, প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদির বায়োপিকে নাম ভূমিকায় থাকছেন বিশিষ্ট অভিনেতা বিবেক ওবেরয়। বহুদিন পর এই অভিনেতাকে ফের পর্দায় দেখা যাবে। জানা গেছে, এই বায়োপিকের নাম হতে পারে ‘পিঁ এম নরেন্দ্র মোদি’। এ বছরের শুরু থেকেই এর শুটিং শুরু হওয়ার সম্ভাবনা রয়েছে।

After the biopic on former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh by Anupam Kher, Vivek Oberoi is all set to take the big screens by storm as the actor will be seen essaying the role of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a biopic.

The biopic titled ‘PM Narendra Modi’ will be helmed by Omung Kumar, director of some critically acclaimed biopic films including ‘Mary Kom’ and ‘Sarbjit’. The biographical drama, based on the life of Prime Minister Modi, is being produced by Sandip Singh.

Indian film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter handle to share the news, writing, “IT’S OFFICIAL… Vivekanand Oberoi [Vivek Oberoi] to star in Narendra Modi biopic, titled #PMNarendraModi… Directed by Omung Kumar… Produced by Sandip Singh… First look poster will be launched on 7 Jan 2019… Filming starts mid-Jan 2019.”
