5-day residential camp of Training of Trainers for NSS concludes at NC College, Badarpur

October 21: A five-day residential camp of Training of Trainers(TOT) for National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers was successfully completed at Nabin Chandra College, Badarpur. The camp witnessed different creative activities. The TOT camp which is sponsored by Regional Directorate of NSS, Guwahati was organized by N.C.College from 16 October to 20 October, 2019 and focused on “Capacity Building of Youth on Leadership & Personality Development Through Life Skills.”

A total of 50 numbers of NSS volunteers from ten affiliated colleges of Assam University took active part in the TOT camp. The ten colleges are Jagannath Singh College, Udharbond, S.R. College, Kalain, MCD College, Sonai, S.S.College, Hailakandi, S.K.Roy College, Katlichera, A.L.C. College, Algapur, R.K Nagar College, Ramkrishna Nagar, Patharkandi College, Nilambazar College and N.C.College Badarpur.

Rita Singh, former Principal of Cambridge School, Guwahati and Advocate, Gauhati High Court,  Anup Dutta Barua, Assistant Professor and NSS Programme officer and John Sangma from NSS Directorate were present in the TOT camp as Resource Persons.


The inaugural and concluding ceremony of the programme was presided over by Dr. Mortuja Hussain, Principal of N.C College,Badarpur.  Speeches were delivered by Dr Fazlur Rahman Laskar, HoD, Arabic of N.C College, Dr Shyam Mamud Barbhuiya, Assistant Professor in History and NSS Programme Officer of Jagannath Singh College, Udharbond, Dr Imam Uddin Ansari, Assistant Professor in Political Science and NSS Programme Officer, Patharkandi College, Dr Burhan Uddin Choudhury, Assistant Professor in Bengali and NSS programme Officer, A.L.C College, Algapur.

The entire programme was compered by  Bazlur Rahman Khan, Assistant Professor in History and NSS Programme Officer, N.C College, Badarpur. The NSS volunteers of N.C college smoothly and nicely managed the camp by dint of their hard labour, which was appreciated by all.
