World Heart Day: Bike Rally & Health Camp organised at Silchar

বিশ্ব হৃদয় দিবস উপলক্ষে মাসভর কর্মসূচি পালন করল হার্ট কেয়ার সোসাইটি অব আসামের বরাক ভ্যালি জোনাল কমিটি। তিন জেলার বিভিন্ন স্থানে সচেতনতা সভা, স্বাস্থ্য শিবির আয়োজিত হয়। বঙ্গভবনে কিছুদিন আগে বড়সড় সেমিনারও হয় ।

শনিবার বিশ্ব হৃদয় দিবসের সকালে শহরে হয় বাইক মিছিল। জেলাশাসক ডা. এস লক্ষ্মণন ও ভারপ্রাপ্ত পুলিশ সুপার ভিভি রাকেশ রেড্ডি পতাকা নেড়ে মিছিলের সূচনা করেন। ছিলেন আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের প্রাক্তন উপাচার্য ড. তপোধীর ভট্টাচার্য, সাধন পুরকায়স্থ, বিপ্লব গোস্বামী সহ শহরের বহু বিশিষ্টজনেরা। বিভিন্ন সংস্থা-সংগঠনের সভ্যরাও মিছিলে অংশ নেন। প্রচুর সংখ্যায় ডাক্তাররাও এ দিন অংশ নেন। আয়োজক সংস্থার সভাপতি ডা. পিসি শর্মা সহ সদস্য-পদাধিকারীরা তো ছিলেনই।

ডিআইজি কার্যালয়ের সামনে থেকে ট্রাঙ্ক রোড, ক্যাপিটেল মোড়, সেন্ট্রাল রোড, রাঙ্গিরখাড়ি হয়ে মিছিল যায় মেহেরপুরের পিসি হৃদয়ালয়ে। সেখানেই আয়োজন করা হয়েছিল শেষদিনের সচেতনতা সভা ও স্বাস্থ্য শিবির। জেলাশাসক ও ভারপ্রাপ্ত পুলিশ সুপার সেখানে সংক্ষিপ্ত বক্তব্য রাখেন। স্বাস্থ্য শিবিরে মোট ৮০ জন রোগীর স্বাস্থ্য পরীক্ষা করা হয় বলে সহকারী সম্পাদক পিনাককান্তি চক্রবর্তী জানিয়েছেন। তিনি বলেন, দিনভর শিবিরে রোগী দেখেন ডা. গিরিধারী কর, ডা. সত্যরঞ্জন ভট্টাচার্য, ডা. অরুণ ভট্টাচার্য, ডা. মন্মথ নাথ, ডা. সিদ্ধার্থ ভট্টাচার্য, ডা. দীপঙ্কর দেব ও ডা. এস কে রায়।

September 29: On the occasion of World Heart Day, the Barak Valley Zonal Committee of Heart Care Society observed a month long programme. Health camps and awareness meetings were held in various parts of Barak Valley. A grand seminar was also organized at Silchar Banga Bhavan a few days ago.

On Saturday, a bike rally was taken out to observe World Heart Day. The rally was flagged off by Dr. S. Laksmanan, Deputy Commissioner Cachar & V.V. Rakesh Reddy, Superintendent of Police i/c. Also present were the former Vice Chancellor of Assam University, Prof. Tapodhir Bhattacharjee, Sadhan Purkayastha, Biplov Goswami and others. Members of various organizations also participated in this rally. Dr. P.C. Sharma and the other members were also present on behalf of the organizers of the rally.

The rally started from the office of the DIG Silchar and went around the major parts of the town and finally reached P.C. Hridayalay at Meherpur where an awareness meeting and health camp was organized. Pinak Kanti Chakraborty, Assistant Secretary of the occasion informed that health check up of 80 patients was done on that day. The doctors who were involved with the health camp were Dr. Giridhari Kar, Dr. Satya Ranjan Bhattacharjee, Dr. Mrinmoy Nath, Dr. Siddhartha Bhattacharjee, Dr. Dipankar Deb and Dr. S.K. Roy.
