Poor weather: Helicopter of CM Meghalaya makes emergency landing
way2barak, Nov.2: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma was returning from Tura in a helicopter on Tuesday. However, due to poor weather, the chopper had to make an emergency landing near the Umiam lake after failing to get down at an Advance Landing Ground (ALG) in Upper Shillong.
During his emergency landing at Union Christian College (UCC) in Umiam, he enjoyed the view of the lovely campus during his walk and had a good time there. Taking to his twitter handle, CM Sangma wrote, “Emergency landing at UCC in Umiam due to bad weather on the way from Tura but enjoyed the view of the lovely campus during my walk & had a good time there thanks to their hospitality. What a day!”
