30 donates blood in a camp organised by ‘Esho Boli’ in Karimganj in memory of Pulwama martyrs
February 14: A day of love when one of the deadly terrorist attack was carried on in Pulwama a year ago in which around 40 CRPF personnel became martyrs. Indians throughout the length and breadth of the country offered rich tribute to the brave martyrs. On Friday, a socio-cultural organisation ‘Esho Boli’ conducted a voluntary blood donation camp in Karimganj to commemorate with love the Pulwama martyrs.
The voluntary blood donation camp was organised by ‘Esho Boli’ in collaboration with the Karimganj District Committee of ‘Barak Valley Voluntary Blood Donors Forum’ (BVVBDF). Special help was provided by Destiny NOG of Karimganj. The camp was organised opposite Ganga Bhandar in Karimganj at 11 in the morning.
A total of 30 units of blood were collected in this camp. Out of 30 donors, three were female. The blood donation camp was technically assisted by Karimganj Civil Hospital Blood Bank. It needs mention here that Kamalakhya Dey Purkayastha, MLA North Karimganj was the first one to donate blood in this camp.
Speaking to way2barak, Sabyasachi Rudra Gupta, President of ‘Esho Boli’ said, “We are indeed thankful to all the donors of this voluntary blood donation camp. We have organised this camp as a mark of respect towards our brave soldiers who attained martyrdom in Pulwama a year ago.”
In the evening, ‘Esho Boli’ organised an open discussion, wherein youths expressed their views on the topic of the day of love. This programme was organised with cooperation from Hotel Nakshatra, Karimganj.
