3-day Science & Art Exhibition begins at Holy Cross School

August 7: A 3-day Science and Art Exhibition began at Holy Cross Higher Secondary School, Silchar on Wednesday. Prof. Biswatosh Choudhury, Head Department of Bengali of Assam University, Silchar was the Chief Guest of the occasion and inaugurated the exhibition. Students from Class III to X onward participated in this exhibition.

Speaking to way2barak, Sr. Caron, Principal of Holy Cross H.S. School expressed happiness and satisfaction at the zeal and enthusiasm of the students exhibited by the students in this 3-day Science and Art Exhibition. Especially the children of Class III & IV too have prepared their models and are well explaining these to all.”

The teachers were equally seen to be very involved in this exhibition. All the teachers were found inspiring and guiding the students and helping them out to decorate the rooms. Expressing her view Mrs. Evon Andrews, a teacher of the school said, “I am extremely happy to see such good exhibits made by our students. Such exhibitions definitely helps in developing the personality of the children and gives them much exposure.”

From solar system to ATM machine, water harvesting, solar power, paintings of different hues, were made by the students.

The way the exhibits were displayed added more glamour to the exhibition. Students of Don Bosco and St. Capitiano will also visit Holy Cross to have a look at the models and interact with the students.

A gentleman whose daughter studies in Holy Cross said, “I am thankful to the school authority for conducting such kind of Science and Art Exhibition. Our Prime Minister speaks high of skill development and such type of exhibition will definitely enhance the skills of our wards.”
