20,681 students to appear in HSLC/AHM exam from Cachar

February 8:  Deputy Commissioner Cachar, Barnali Sharma held a meeting with District level examination supervision committee on Thursday. At the very outset, Deputy Commissioner, Cachar, who is the Chairman of District level examination supervision committee welcomed all the members of the committee. A threadbare discussion was also held to conduct both HSLC/AHM and HSSLC examination smoothly in Cachar District.

It was informed in the meeting that HSLC/AHM examination will start from 10 February to 29 February, 2020 and HSSLC examination will start from 12 February to 14 March, 2020. It is pertinent to mention here that this time 20,450 number of students will appear in the HSLC and 231 students will appear in AHM examination in all 34 centers in the Cachar District,i,e a total of 20681 students are appearing in the HSLC/AHM examination in the District in 2020.

DC Barnali Sharma requested all the members of the committee including the center in charge and zone incharge of both HSSLC and HSLC/AHM to conduct examination in a free and fair manner. All the zone and center incharge were asked to give their best efforts to avoid any sort of unfair means in the upcoming examination. It was also directed to keep all the answers scripts and important documents in the safe custody under strict vigilance.

It was also informed in the meeting to avoid any negligence and fault and all concerned persons must be alert during the examination days to avoid any misuse of mobile. DC Sharma informed that ADC (Education) Rajib Roy will be the nodal person in this regard. She also mentioned that in case of any emergency, it must be informed immediately and anyone can contact the Deputy Commissioner, District Development Commissioner, Circle officers or with the supervising officers nominated by District Administration, Cachar.

All the magistrates and police will supervise the examination and will keep strict vigil during the examination days. In case of any misconduct or if anyone is found guilty of misconduct, he/she will be penalised and disciplinary action will be taken against accused person,she added. It is important to mention that this time District Administration Cachar has engaged three reputed academicians Dr. Sontosh Ranjan Chakraborty, Retd Professor, Cachar College, Silchar, Dr Bibhas Deb, Retd Director, College Development Council, Assam University and Dr Shankar Bhattacharjee, Retd Principal, Women College, Silchar to supervise both HSSLC and HSLC/AHM examination.

Mobile phone and/or any electronic gadgets will not be allowed in the examination center. In this regard, all the center incharge will depute one male and one female teacher for checking at the gate. Mobile medical team will be available at the examination centers. Deputy Commissioner also instructed to ensure sufficient necessary facilities like drinking water, toilets at the examination centers for the students. No concerned officials will be allowed to leave the head quarter till both the examinations are over without prior permission.

District Development Commissioner Jessica Lalsim, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education) Rajib Roy, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sumit Sattawan, DSP (Headquarter) Cachar, A.J Baruah also attended the meeting.
